"Gender-related killings and other forms of violence against women and girls are unacceptable. A collective effort is needed to prevent them and to strengthen respect for the freedom of the other'. This was stated by the Italian Ambassador in Berlin, Armando Varricchio, on the occasion of the Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The embassy also planned an installation of red shoes, which have become a symbol against violence against women, donated by employees to remember the victims of abuse and feminicide and to make a collective commitment to stop them.
